Mark your calendars because on July 1st, the festivities kick off with a parade starting at 10 am from the corner of Kempt Town.

The Upper Hammonds Plains Community Development Association is partnering with Ariel Gough to offer the 3rd edition of the Girls With Ideas Leadership Program starting on February 26th from 11 am – 1 pm at the UHP Community Centre. Girls will learn essential business and leadership skills through interactive activities and hands-on projects. 2nd Edition: Girls With Ideas Leadership Program 


The Upper Hammonds Plains Community Development Association is partnering with Ariel Gough to offer the 2nd edition of the Girls With Ideas Leadership Program on Saturdays from 1pm – 3pm, starting on October 3rd, at the UHP Community Centre.

During the 10-week program, girls will learn about leadership as well as other important life skills, such as financial literacy, civic engagement and healthy relationships.

2019 – Girls Leadership Training

The Upper Hammonds Plains Community Development Association (UHPCDA) is partnering with Ariel Gough to offer a 10-week leadership program for girls aged 8-13 on Saturdays from 10am-12pm, starting on May 11th. Jordan Anderson and Jha-Zeyia Butts, two of the girls from our leadership program, were asked to speak at the Alexa McDonough Institute for Women, Gender and Social Justice’s International Day of the Girl Child celebration at Mount Saint Vincent University in October. They made us proud!
